Acquisition Announcement:

"Leister Acquires Concord Geotech"

Concord Geotechnical (USA) is pleased to announce its recent acquisition by Leister Technologies (Switzerland), effective September 1, 2010. Concord & Leister have joined forces to bring the best of quality manufacturing and design innovation to the plastic welding industry.

Concord has been recognized as a world leader in wedge welders and test equipment for over 20 years. What will be happen to Concord?

A. Concord will continue to operate as a division of Leister Technologies, but will no longer be producing wedge welders. Concord will continue to offer a full line of spare parts, test equipment, and service & support.

I've been using Concord welders for a long time. What happens to me?

A. Concord will continue to support its customers with spare parts, service and technical support for it's welders and test equipment, on into the future. Contact details for Concord are the same.

What if I want a new Concord 905 Welder?

A. Concord has ceased production of new 905 welders. All 905 welders in the production pipeline have been spoken for. When those are shipped, that will be the end of an era for 905 welders.

Steve Hobbs has always been the driving force at Concord. What will Mr. Hobbs do now?

A. Steve Hobbs will bring his expertise to a new position with Leister, focusing on wedge welders, extruders, hand tools and test equipment related to geomembranes and/or civil engineering in N. America. Look for exciting new developments in the Leister line-up.
